Join us July 4th at Monticello!
There is no place more inspirational to celebrate the Fourth of July than Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence.
This year, roughly 80 people from almost 40 different countries start their lives as U.S. citizens at Monticello's 53rd Annual Independence Day Celebration and Naturalization Ceremony.
David M. RubensteinThe Honorable Terence R. McAuliffe, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, will be the featured speaker, addressing new citizens from around the world.
Following the ceremony, we will host a Jeffersonian Open House! The celebration will include ice cream and free walk-through tours of Monticello with registration. Register now >>
Begin your Fourth of July at Monticello
This year's ceremony begins at 9 a.m. on the West Lawn of Monticello. Admission to the July 4 Ceremony at Monticello is FREE! Free parking for the ceremony is at Piedmont Virginia Community College - shuttle service will depart from the PVCC lot beginning at 7:30am - 8:30am.
